GEOCHEMICAL ANALYSIS OF ROCK, CORE, SEDIMENT, SOIL & WATER

Mining activities implicitly involve the excavation and movement of massive quantities of mineral laden rock which can have significant impacts on the surrounding environment. Our laboratory can assist mining consultants and engineers define their analytical needs and devise testing programs to meet their environmental and permit driven requirements. 

Services include:

  • Perform baseline analysis for environmental impact statement
  • Assist in the definition of mitigation requirements for new mine designs
  • Evaluate  and characterize proposed extraction pilot plant and operational by-products
  • Soil, waste rock, tailings, sludge, and sediment analysis for trace metals and nutrients

Solid Samples

Tailings, overburden, ore, and core samples require crushing and grinding coupled with sieving and splitting to prepare them for analysis. A number of crushing and grinding plate materials are available to minimize sample contamination during preparation where applicable.

Water Samples

Aqueous samples collected from monitoring wells, process waters, waste waters and storm waters are routinely analyzed for a wide variety of elements.
