Compressed Air Contaminant Testing

RESPIRATORY DEVICE AIR OUTPUT TESTING

Medical devices such as ventilators, CPAP machines, nebulizers, etc. require the use of internal air compressors, external compressed gases, or both for the delivery of gases to patients.  The air output of these devices may contain contaminants that can unknowingly cause physical harm to patients.   The FDA  requires the air output of these devices be tested to ensure contaminants are not being delivered to patients.  LEGEND provides customized air output capture systems to fit your specific device allowing for real-time monitoring along with sample collection/analysis for these harmful contaminants.  Draft ISO 18562-Parts 2 & 3:2016

  • Volatile Organic Compounds (TO-15)
  • PM2.5 & PM10 Particulates (Real Time Monitoring)
  • Carbon Dioxide, Carbon Monoxide (Real Time Monitoring)
  • Ozone

COMPRESSED BREATHING AIR TESTING

Compressed air is used in a variety of occupational settings from industrial and manufacturing to life safety, analytical, and medical applications.   Standards set forth by the Compressed Gas Association (CGA) are the most generally accepted standards for compressed air.   Compressed gas standards published in the  CFR 29 1910.134 and in NFPA 1500, Standard on Fire Department Occupational Safety and Health Program, each refer to CGA G-7.1 “Commodity Specification for Air” for compressed gases, standards and regulations.

SQF COMPRESSED AIR PURITY TESTING - ISO 8573

Safe Quality Foods (SQF) compressed air purity testing.  Compressed air used in the food manufacturing, processing and packaging can be a source of chemical and biological contamination.  LEGEND offers on-site testing of compressed air systems for solid particulates ranging from 0.3 micron - 10 micron, viable microbiological content, oil aerosol content and vapor pressure dew point.  Additional testing is also available.
